"TAZZ"

Sleep Well Mama's "Lil Man"
Tazz's Memorial Page - Coming Soon
In
December of 1987, I purchased Tazz from a BYB. At the time, I
was not educated concerning breeders. I had just lost my
beloved Cinnamon whom I had, had for 14 years. My house was so
empty and I needed a companion. My heart wanted a Doberman
Pinscher but I lived in an apartment at the time and could not
have a dog over 20 lbs.
I
brought Tazz home and although he was about 2 lbs, he thought
he was 100 lbs and ten feet tall. This little rascal would run
off with shoes, rugs or anything that was ten times larger
than he was. I loved his energy and liveliness. In 1991, I
bought my first real home and Tazz loved having his own
backyard to run in. Tazz seemed lonely at times without a
playmate, so I purchased another Min Pin in November 1989.
Tazz
was a very happy boy to have another playmate. Tosh and Tazz's
relationship was more as a human brother/sister relationship
would be.
Tazz
protected Tosh and looked after her.
In
2001 Tazz began to become blind in his left eye. He was taken
to a specialist who determined that he indeed was going blind.
The specialist informed me at that time that Tazz would
eventually be blind in both eyes. I was sent home with
medication to place in both eyes.
Tazz
eventually went blind in both eyes. Although he had to adjust
to his new way of life, he never let that stop him from going
anywhere he wanted to go.
When
Tosh was sent to the Rainbow Bridge on May 27, 2004, Tazz
grieved more than I've ever personally seen any dog grieve. I
was so worried that I would lose Tazz after Tosh was PTS. I
took Tazz, Silk and Reina~ out of town just to get away after
losing Tosh. After returning home from our trip, Tazz seemed
to be doing so much better with his grieving. He actually
began to eat and sleep again. Tazz is now almost 17 years old
and although he is blind and deaf, he still gets around fine
with a little help. I still have to help him outside and back
inside but he still gets frisky at times and wants to play. He
loves sleeping with his human in the bed, but sometimes can't
find a good spot.
Tazz
is my little boy and as all my animals, I love him dearly.
